Micron Technology Inc. launched the RealSSD P320h solid-state drive (SSD) series, its first PCI Express (PCIe) SSD cards.
The P320h system uses Micron's 34-nanometer single-level cell (SLC) NAND flash memory technology, and is available in 350 GB and 700 GB capacities. The P320h has 3 GBps of sustained data throughput and can handle 750,000 IOPS for random reads and 341,000 IOPS for random writes. The first products in Micron's P320h series will be available in a full height, half-length form factor, and Micron is planning to release more PCIe form factors this year. Micron develops the entire stack for the P320h, including the NAND silicon and controller.
