Storage services consultancy, GlassHouse, has hired Dave Ellard, formerly CIO at EMC; ONStor certifies with Dot Hill.

GlassHouse snags former EMC CIO
Storage services consultancy, GlassHouse Technologies Inc. has hired Dave Ellard, previously the senior vice president and chief information officer (CIO) at EMC for four years. While there, he was responsible for driving common processes and systems to provide global business scalability and IT cost control. Prior to EMC, Ellard was CIO at Boston Scientific Corp. for 14 years.

ONStor certifies with Dot Hill
ONStor Inc., provider of NAS gateways for multi-vendor storage, announced that its Bobcat Series NAS gateways have been certified interoperable with Dot Hill Systems Corp.'s storage networking products, including the SANnet II family of storage systems.

CommVault touts SMB customers
CommVault Systems Inc. announced that since its launch in January 2005, its Galaxy Express software has been adopted by over 500 small and midsized business (SMB) customers. CommVault claims customers chose Galaxy Express for its easy-to-use backup features and aggressive SMB price.

StorCase launches SATA desktop model
StorCase Technology Inc. announced the InfoStation 5-Bay SATA desktop model. The RAID enclosure supports up to five removable SATAII drives and doesn't require bridging to a SCSI, Fibre or Ethernet host interface, therefore providing superior data throughput, the company claims. It supports up to 2 terabytes of storage.
