DALLAS -- The Storage Networking World Spring 2012 show attracted more than 1,100 attendees over four days with a range of topics and session tracks that included "big data," storage tiering and the future of Fibre Channel. Professional services firm saves with cloud, virtualization
ICF International saved over $2 million in a data center upgrade by using virtualization and cloud technology. Lon Anderson, vice president of corporate information technology, told SNW attendees the change was made during a three-year period of growth in which the company was aggressively acquiring companies and adding employees, making the successful upgrade even more impressive. “We started focusing on virtualizing what we could virtualize quickly, and started to place applications into the cloud,” Anderson said.
