Depending on the model, Dell EqualLogic arrays contain hard disk drives (HDDs) or a mix of HDDs and solid-state drives. The arrays use 1 gigabit Ethernet (GbE) or 10 GbE connections. The Dell EqualLogic line is marketed to small and medium-sized businesses.
There are seven models in the Dell EqualLogic PS Series: PS4100, PS4210, PS-M4110, PS6100, PS6210, PS6500 and the FS7600/7610 unified storage system.
They can be clustered in groups of up to 16 arrays for a total potential capacity of more than 1.5 petabytes. The arrays provide features such as load balancing, redundancy and automated storage tiering.
