It is incorrect to say that RHEV doesn't require separate hypervisor and management servers, just like oVirt. In fact they are called RHEV-H and RHEV-M. There is an undocumented/unsupported RHEV plugin to theoretically allow you to use them on the same server (all-in-one), but that's not how it is intended to operate and it is not supported in that mode. It is no different from oVirt in this respect. oVirt is now the upstream equivalent of RHEV and will filter features into RHEV as they become stable.
