Online spare for SAN

Autospare drive means a spare drive for one full storage set. It doesn?t matter if you have one, two or three RAID sets. If one of your hard disks should fail, the autospare drive will become active in its place. Once you reinstall the old one, then you can make it an autospare again.

We are now using Compaq HSG60 which has the autospare utility so we can configure the autospare hard disk.
