EMC takes the first step in delivering AutoIS

EMC stated that the ESN Manager now allows customers to discover, zone and report on Compaq StorageWorks systems.

Evaluator Group believes that this is limited to the Compaq HSG80 controller based products and does not include the new enterprise virtual array products that are based upon the HSV110 controllers.

EMC CLARiiON storage systems

EMC stated that the ESN Manager now allows customers to discover, zone, device mask and report on EMC CLARiiON enterprise storage systems.

Single-view, multi-vendor switch management

EMC stated that the ESN Manager now provides the ability to zone and manage multi-vendor switches, including those from Brocade, EMC and McDATA in the same fabric from a single management tool. It also displays a single view of SAN performance and error-rate statistics across these devices in heterogeneous switch environments.
