NetApp's Warmenhoven: SNIA's thinking too narrow

NetApp's CEO Dan Warmenhoven told members of SNIA during his keynote speech Monday at the Storage Networking World Conference in Palm Desert, Calif., that they need to think outside the box when developing standards. Warmenhoven challenged them to reach beyond the scope of the computer sector and think about storage issues globally. "Interoperability is no longer just a basic interconnect problem," he said.
