Description:
New York -- Storability Software, today announced the availability of Version 3.8 of its Global Storage Manager (GSM) software. GSM 3.8 offers expanded device support allowing customers to manage multi-vendor, multi-site
storage infrastructures from a single, integrated solution.
GSM enables large enterprises to visualize and optimize
multi-vendor, multi-site storage environments using a single integrated
solution. It's unique, multi-tiered architecture scales to support large,
distributed environments from a central location. In Version 3.8, GSM's
already robust device support has been expanded to include EMC's Celerra,
HP's XP 512 and Windows 2003.
Enterprise customers are choosing GSM because it can reliably scale to meet the needs of large, geographically dispersed organizations, and allow them to align their storage assets with business goals. Customers adopting GSM include insurance companies, financial institutions and major companies in the
pharmaceutical, telecommunication, utility and information industries.
"Key Bank's data centers have products from all of the major storage
vendors, and we felt it was critical to have a single management tool that
would support everything, including all of our hosts, HBAs, switches,
storage, and especially backup," said Robert Bellanti, Vice President, Key
Bank. "GSM was the only product that could support it all. We also like
knowing that the software monitoring our storage environment, particularly
as it relates to capacity, is independent of the storage hardware
vendors."
