Dear Storage Professional,
Announcing the premiere of the first issue Storage magazine Online – the new digital format of the award-winning magazine that storage managers trust for storage news and technical advice.
In the past, our distribution was limited to just 50,000 printed copies shipped each month to our active subscribers. Now, because we're web-based, the magazine's features, columns, special reports and analysis are available for anyone with an interest in storage – available in 2 convenient formats 24/7.
Here's how it will work: Each month you'll have 2 media options:
- Download an easy-to-read, ready-to-save-and/or-print PDF of the entire publication, or...
- Read the magazine cover-to-cover via easy-to-navigate web pages with each of the month's features, columns and news stories

Why the Change?
There are a number of reasons for this change, but most importantly, we're doing it because we feel we can serve our readers better with an electronic version of the magazine. One of the problems that editors of print publications have always grappled with is timeliness – producing a print magazine involves a lot of steps and takes a lot of time, and sometimes the clock runs out before we can get the latest info into an article. By publishing Storage on the Web as an eZine, we can "stop the clock" and get the new developments into the stories – and even update them if necessary.
And because we won't be mailing issues anymore, delivery will be much more predictable. Your copy of Storage won't get lost en route or get buried in the mailroom. An added benefit – for everyone – is that by going digital we'll also be doing our small part for the environment, sparing a few trees each month while reducing the magazine's carbon footprint.
Change isn't always easy, and I'll admit that some of us will miss the print edition, too. But in this case, the medium is not the message – even though we're shifting from paper to pixels, you can expect the same quality content you're accustomed to. As usual, let me know how we're doing or if you have any suggestions to make Storage eZine better.
Thanks –
