Symantec to revamp channel program
Symantec Corp. intends to roll out a new channel program by late 2005 or early 2006 as it completes its merger with Veritas Software Corp. The program will place a higher emphasis on value per sale and less emphasis on volume sales. The current Symantec and Veritas channel programs focus on volume, according to company officials.

Riverbed launches channel program
Riverbed Technology Inc. has announced the launch of its Riverbed Partner Network to resell its Steelhead WAN appliance. The program offers two levels of partnership: Certified and Premier. All partners who join the network start at the Certified level. As partners grow with Riverbed and achieve certain milestones, they will be moved up to Premier status with additional support and compensation benefits.

LSI Logic signs iSCSI partner
LSI Logic Corp. announced a licensing agreement today that will see PyX Technologies Inc.'s target software integrated with LSI Logic's MegaRAID controllers. The software balances transmission loads across multiple network interface ports in a SAN.

CiBan and Intradyn do e-mail compliance
CiBan has announced that it will offer its customers Intradyn Inc.'s line of ComplianceVault e-mail archiving appliances, which provide both on- and off-site e-mail archiving for small and midsized businesses. CiBan will market the ComplianceVault appliances to its customers as a businesses continuity solution to ensure e-mail is properly archived.

SyncSave chooses Asigra
Backup and recovery software maker Asigra Inc. has announced that SyncSave, a backup and data recovery provider for banks, credit unions and other financial institutions, has incorporated Asigra's Televaulting software as part of its disaster recovery service.

EqualLogic SAN for MyCart
EqualLogic Inc. has announced that e-commerce service provider SureMerchant LLC has deployed its PS Series networked storage to manage data for more than 3,000 online stores through its MyCart.net subsidiary. MyCart stores over 1 million objects on the PS Series SAN, which supports more than 40 Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 servers as well as a high-performance SQL Server. Prior to EqualLogic, MyCart was using Network Appliance Inc.'s (NetApp) FAS720 system.

Australian government association chooses NetApp
NetApp. announced today that the Western Australia Local Government Association (WALGA) has used its storage products to consolidate its storage architecture. The NetApp system, purchased through NetApp partner ASI Solutions, provides IP SAN storage for WALGA's Microsoft Exchange 2003 and SQL applications.
