StoredIQ upgraded its information management platform, adding an electronic discovery management application to the platform.

StoredIQ 6.0 includes eDiscoveryManager, which provides search, identification, collection, early case assessment and analysis capabilities, as well as legal hold and review. eDiscoveryManager gives inside counsel the ability to perform real-time analysis on data in its native location prior to preservation and collection. In addition to eDiscoveryManager, StoredIQ's Analyze Anywhere software lets customers perform early case assessments without moving data from its natural location.

NTT America adds cloud storage service

NTT America, a subsidiary of NTT Communications Corp., launched a cloud storage service called CloudFiles. CloudFiles enhances NTT America's public cloud suite that rolled out in May. Pricing for CloudFiles starts at 15 cents per gigabyte per month.

LSI extends 6 Gbps SAS gear

LSI Corp. expanded its 6 Gbps SAS portfolio by releasing three MegaRAID controllers with optional FastCache and FastPath software, 3ware SATA+SAS RAID controllers, and a SAS 9201-16i host bus adapter (HBA).

Infortrend launches 6 Gbps SAS DAS

Infortrend has added 6 Gbps SAS end-to-end storage systems to its EonStor DS entry-level storage platform.

IntelliMagic upgrades storage performance management suite

IntelliMagic launched its new Storage Performance Management Software (SPM) suite, consisting of IntelliMagic Vision for performance analytics, IntelliMagic Direction for performance modeling, and IntelliMagic Balance for storage tiering and optimization.

BlueArc closes $20 million funding round

NAS vendor BlueArc Corp. closed a $20 million funding round, led by Swedish Investor AB and supported by 16 previous investors. BlueArc CEO Mike Gustafson said the vendor will use the funding to ramp product development and increase headcount in engineering, sales and marketing.

Caringo grabs funding

Object-based storage vendor Caringo Inc. has received $5 million in funding. Caringo's CAStor software is sold by Dell as part of its DX object-based storage system under the terms of an OEM deal with Caringo.

SteelEye's parent forms cloud computing division

Japan-based SIOS Technology Group is expanding its U.S. operations based in San Mateo, Calif., with a cloud computing division that includes SIOS' SteelEye business continuity subsidiary. SIOS intends to complete the transition of SteelEye replication and high-availability products into the subsidiary by Oct. 1.

KOMpliance certified for Symantec Enterprise Vault

KOM Networks said its KOMpliance archiving appliance has been certified with Symantec Corp. Enterprise Vault to manage archived storage of Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino, Microsoft SharePoint and other file-based systems.
