Overland Storage strengthens ARCvault line
Overland Storage has upgraded its ARCvault line of tape automation applications with SAS connectivity and LTO-4 HH tape drives. The ARCvault 12 value-line autoloader, the ARCvault 24 rack-optimized library and the ARCvault 48 high-capacity tape drive now have SAS interfaces to work with SAS-connected servers. The company also said that its ARCvault line supports LTO-4 HH SCSI technology.

StoneFly upgrades StoneFusion network storage platform
StoneFly Inc. has released StoneFusion 6.1, an upgrade of the company's network storage platform that is integrated into all StoneFly IP SANs. The company's entry-level integrated storage concentrator (ISC) line of IP SANs now supports SAS, and StoneFusion 6.1 expands the company's tiered IP SAN offerings to include the ISC line. StoneFly Reflection, which is designed for local, campus and remote mirroring, now has asynchronous replication. All ISCs can utilize SATA and 10,000- and 15,000-RPM rpm SAS drives in the same chassis.

Addonics launches Diamond Cipher hard drive kit
Addonics Technologies has released a hard drive kit with built-in SATA and USB 2.0 connectors. The Diamond Cipher hard drive kit allows users to connect an external SATA hard drive to a system or use any SATA hard drive as a removable cartridge drive with 256-bit AES hardware encryption. The Diamond Drive Cartridge system comes with Diamond Cipher drive enclosure, a Diamond drive cradle that mounts into a 5.25-inch drive bay and a pair of 256-bit AES cipher keys.

SAS support added to hybrid appliance line
Dynamic Network Factory has upgraded its StorBank-XL line of hybrid NAS and iSCSI appliances. The company is planning to add support for SAS drives this month as well. The StorBank-XL line of seven models features a user interface, system backup and remote replication, and point-in-time snapshots. Upgrades include support for data management protocol for advanced backup, and WORM iSCSI volumes and file shares for compliance and data archiving.
