EMC partners with Indian outsourcer, Wipro EMC announced a global strategic alliance with Indian outsourcing giant Wipro Ltd. to expand its reach into worldwide markets. The company will train approximately 1,000 Wipro employees on EMC technologies to help in presales, delivery and product development. CommVault offers more shares CommVault announced it will make a secondary public offering of 7.9 million shares at $17, potentially raising over $134 million to pay of debts. The company went public a year ago and raised $161 million.

Law firm uses Index Engines Constantine & Aborn Advisory Services LLC (CAAS), a litigation consulting company, has selected Index Engines for the electronic discovery of backup tape data. Index Engines allows users to search backup tapes without first restoring the content, significantly speeding up the time to search for data. Atempo joins archiving party Atempo, Inc. made its entry into the archiving market with the Atempo Archive Server (AAS), a file-based archiving product with a dedicated metadata management system and open architecture Pivot3 launches RAIGE Pivot3 Inc. made its entry into the scalable network storage market with an IP-based storage cluster. The Pivot3 RAIGE (RAID Across Independent Gigabit Ethernet) Storage Cluster is the first system based on the Pivot3 block-level virtualization architecture.
