BlueArc secures $15M
NAS vendor, BlueArc Corp., has found investors willing to stump up another $15 million to help the company build out its channels to market and beef up its sales and marketing effort. Meritech Capital Partners and Crosslink Capital led the round, supported by additional funds from existing BlueArc investors. This investment brings BlueArc's total raised to date to $175 million.
OnStor raises $24M
NAS gateway vendor, ONStor Inc., announced that it has secured $24 million in additional venture funding, bringing the total equity investment in the company to $79 million. The investment was led by ComVentures, with the participation of existing investors Mayfield, Foundation Capital and Worldview Technology Partners.
Xiotech, CommVault partner
Xiotech Corp. and CommVault Systems Inc. announced that they will develop joint solutions to take advantage of Microsoft's Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) in the third quarter of 2005. As part of this development, the companies announced that their product lines, including Xiotech's VSS hardware provider and CommVault's requestor, are fully interoperable and certified for joint implementations. The two companies also announced that they have expanded their partnership and are working together to address the storage needs of midsize businesses operating in Microsoft Windows environments.
