NetEx launches data replication optimizer
NetEx Inc. announced the release of HyperIP Data Replication Optimizer (DRO), enabling data replication acceleration over existing IP networks and providing an alternative to Fibre Channel over IP technologies. HyperIP DRO is available now with a list price of approximately $20,000.

EMC adds multi-language support to Documentum
EMC Corp. announced Documentum CIS Version 5.3, which adds multi-lingual support to the software enabling content classification in native languages. Among the new supported languages are English, German, Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish and Finnish.

Pro-Tax deploys Asigra for multi-site backup
Agentless distributed backup software provider, Asigra Inc. announced that Pro-Tax has selected the company's Televaulting multi-site backup and recovery software to provide reliable, centralized backup for the 25 Pro-Tax offices located in three states. Charlottesville, Va.-based Pro-Tax chose Asigra's Televaulting solution to provide backup and recovery of client tax data, and to satisfy the company's regulatory compliance record keeping requirements.

EU satellite center picks Atempo
Atempo Inc. announced that the European Union Satellite Center (EUSC) has chosen its Time Navigator data protection software for terabytes of global satellite, aerial images and collateral data. Located in the outskirts of Madrid, Spain, the EUSC is responsible for strengthening the European Union's ability to gather geographical information used to help prevent conflicts, contribute to peacekeeping and deliver aid in cases of natural or human-caused disasters.

Xiotech certifies with IBM BladeCenter
Xiotech Corp. announced that it has joined IBM's BladeCenter Alliance Program and qualified IBM BladeCenter for use with its Magnitude 3D arrays.

Fujitsu picks Emulex HBA for entry-level SAN connectivity
Emulex Corp., announced that Fujitsu Siemens Computers has selected the Emulex LP101 Fibre Channel host bus adapter for its Primergy server line for entry-level SAN connectivity. Pricing was not available.
