QUESTION: For organizations that have to support multi-platforms, i.e. Unix, Windows, Mac) what would be your recommendation in terms of setting up user file space?

ANSWER: Ask NAS vendors about the extent of their capabilities to support heterogeneous user file spaces. I think most vendors can support users from various OSs but the extent of that integration depends on the vendor.
