QUESTION: Are there any recommended tools to measure storage performance throughput? We need to make sure we maintain or improve this as we migrate to SAN/NAS.

ANSWER: Most (if not all) of the switch manufacturers have management tools which (for SANs) provide significant intelligence on throughput performance. In a NAS scenario, the management tools you will use will be a combination of the LAN and OS platform tools (EG perfmon, SAR etc.)
