QUESTION: Why is there such a drive to advance to iSCSI?
ANSWER: By whom, vendors? There are a lot of start-up vendors here so you may be hearing mostly marketing hype. iSCSI primarily will compete with NAS in the market it will most likely play in. It's still too soon to tell if it will have much success.
