QUESTION: How do you strike a balance between performance and information sharing in network storage implementation?

ANSWER: This question is too vague but there isn't necessarily a reason to trade off performance against information sharing. Depending on the complexity of the environment, the performance issues are as likely to be driven at the host or network layer as against in the storage.
