Visualize your SAN

Prisa Networks, Inc., has released its latest offering to the world of network management software for storage area networks (SANs) in the form of the VisualSAN Network Management Suite. The first two applications in the software suite, VisualSAN Network Manager (NM) and VisualSAN Performance Manager (PM), will be available to OEMs and Storage Service Providers (SSPs) in December, 2000 and early 2001, respectively. VisualSAN Network Manager provides service level management of SANs through graphical visualization, event correlation, and alert generation. The software automatically discovers, manages, and monitors multi-vendor SAN devices, including switches, hubs, routers, host bus adapters, and storage systems and automatically generates a graphical topology map depicting the SAN network elements, servers, storage systems, SCSI logical units, and their interconnects. Prisa is headquartered in San Diego, Calif.
