The Merisel Open Computing Alliance, Inc. (MOCA), a subsidiary of Merisel, Inc., has penned a North American distribution agreement with Veritas Software Corp.
MOCA is expanding its storage portfolio by adding Mountain View, Calif.-based, Veritas' data protection and application storage management software solutions. MOCA is balancing the new product offering with a group of Veritas-dedicated experts and 'high-touch' support services focused on storage products. The agreement boosts MOCA's storage strategy and extends Veritas' reach for product distribution in the Sun channel.
"There is great value in MOCA's hands-on approach to its resellers, and this partnership provides Veritas Software with notable opportunities in the Sun channel," said Joe Julian, vice president, the Americas.
According to Veritas, the new solutions are scalable and can be integrated at all levels of an enterprise network, functioning in both storage area networks (SANs), and network-attached storage (NAS) devices. According to MOCA, resellers can now purchase a myriad of Veritas Software solutions for UNIX, including Veritas NetBackup, Veritas Foundation Suite, Veritas Volume Manager, Veritas File System, Veritas Database Edition, Veritas Cluster Server and Veritas Storage Migrator.
"Sun Authorized Providers recognize Veritas Software as an industry leader and they have been asking for these solutions by name," said Richard Severa, President of MOCA.
