Disc, Inc., a Milpitas, Calif.-based manufacturer of automated library solutions for enterprise storage, announced a strategic partnership with Bisys Document Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Bisys Group, Inc., of Little Falls NJ. Bysis offers a myriad of services to more than 9,000 financial institutions and corporate clients. The company's services range from information processing to check-imaging applications.

Under the new partnership, Bisys hopes to streamline its item processing and transaction data retrieval services by integrating Disc's modular libraries into its extensive array of integrated check imaging solutions. Disc's libraries range in storage capacity from 104G Bytes to 5.4T Bytes.

"Through our partnership with Disc, we are able to provide a more efficient solution that will significantly reduce banks' costs," said Bill Neville, president of Bisys Information Services group.

Disc products are designed to provide affordable, reliable, long-term storage solutions. Features such as the Dynamic Automatic Alignment (DAA) System in Disc's Orion series guarantee proper robotic alignment, thus providing quick and continuous operation in mission-critical applications.

According to Bisys, its check imaging systems are designed to level the playing field by allowing the community banks to effectively compete with larger financial institutions through the affordability of its services.
