Emulex rolls out OneCommand Vision Software for I/O management; other data storage news

Emulex rolls out I/O management software for bandwidth contention issues; EMC, IBM renew interoperability, tech support agreement; Pillar adds replication and QoS migration.

Emulex Corp. launched Emulex OneCommand Vision, an application designed for I/O management within physical, virtual and cloud data center environments. OneCommand Vision is the storage networking vendor's first commercial software product.

OneCommand Vision will allow storage administrators to monitor I/O data paths, configure data center resources to solve bandwidth and contention issues, and analyze both physical and virtual I/O layers. The software is interoperable with Emulex LightPulse Host Bus Adapters, OneConnect FCoE Universal Converged Network Adapters, Emulex OneCommand Manager and non-Emulex adapters. Pricing starts at $32,500 for 25 physical servers.
