ProStor Systems Inc. has made available its InfiniVault Model 5 removable disk appliance for small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). ProStor InfiniVault Model 5 is an integrated storage appliance in a tower design with five slots for RDX removable disks and a 1.8 TB file area that can manage 250 million files. ProStor is pricing Model 5 at $14,995, and dropping the price of its entry-level Model 3 to $9,995. ProStor also reduced the price of its expandable, rack-mounted systems the Model 30 ($29,995) and Model 100 ($69,995).
Overland Storage introduces new NEO tape libraries
Overland Storage rolled out two NEO automatic tape libraries. The NEO 200s is a 2U model with up to 38.4 TB of capacity, while the NEO 400s is an expandable library that scales to 76.8 TB in a 4U configuration.Seagate launches BlackArmor NAS 110
Seagate Technology LLC rolled out the BlackArmor NAS 110 network storage server, the first of the Seagate BlackArmor NAS family to include additional capabilities such as support for Wiki server and Windows Server 2008. Hitachi GST rolled out two new 15,000 rpm Ultrastar enterprise hard drives.
