Mimosa Systems Inc. announced that its e-mail archiving product, NearPoint for Microsoft Exchange Server, will support Exchange Server 5.5 so that users can migrate data from the older version of Exchange to Exchange 2000 Server or Exchange Server 2003, an otherwise lengthy process that has the potential for data loss. With the new version of Nearpoint, administrators can empty Exchange Server 5.5 mailboxes prior to migrating to newer versions of Exchange, which speeds the migration process.
