HDS joins SNIA vendor-neutral program
Hitachi Data Systems Corp. (HDS) introduced a global customer and partner education initiative at the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) 2006 Winter Symposium. The Hitachi Data Systems Certified Storage Professional Program is designed to validate the skills and expertise of HDS partners, customers and personnel in the architecture, implementation, support and administration of the company's storage products. HDS is the first member of SNIA to incorporate the association's vendor-neutral certification program, the company said.
OnStor hits 100 customers
OnStor Inc., a provider of NAS gateways, announced its 100th customer, Shopzilla Inc., completing a year of company growth since the January 2005 launch of its Bobcat scalable NAS gateway.
Exanet joins Intel storage group
Software-based NAS company, Exanet, announced it has joined the Intel Storage Community (ISC) program. Through its membership in the ISC, Exanet said it is able to benefit early from new Intel roadmaps improving its ability to deliver timely products.
