Quantum announces data security framework
Quantum Corp. announced support for security focused on backup, recovery and archive. The framework encompasses three types of controls: those governing physical access, administrative access and data access. Quantum will be introducing products on this framework in phases over the coming year.

Mimosa gets series B financing, adds execs
Mimosa Systems Inc. announced that it has received $11 million in its second round of venture financing, bringing the company's total venture funding to $17.5 million. Mimosa said it would expand sales and marketing of its e-mail archiving product, Mimosa NearPoint, for Microsoft Exchange Server.

Mimosa also added two execs, Donald Gieseler, formerly of KVS as vice president of North America sales and Peter Skinner, formerly chief financial officer of BitPass, as vice president of finance.

Ukrainian bank chooses StoreAge
StoreAge Networking Technologies announced that it has completed a business continuity and storage management installation at Imexbank together with its Ukrainian partner Telco. Imexbank chose StoreAge's virtualization product, SVM to centrally manage a new SAN installed by Telco. Imexbank also added the multiView snapshot facility.
