Dobson Telephone launches storage service Dobson Telephone Co. announced that it has launched a new data security and management company under the name of CoreVault Inc., employing its fiber optic network and data centers to provide online data storage and recovery services in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas.
Fiberlink chooses Coraid Coraid Inc. announced that Fiberlink Communications Corp. has selected the Coraid 3U SATA-RAID EtherDrive storage appliance to archive its standby off-site cold databases. Fiberlink's configuration includes eight 500 GB SATA disks for a total of 4 terabytes (TB) of storage attached to a network supporting a Hewlett-Packard ProLiant server running Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Fiberlink said in a press release that they had chosen Coraid as its SAN provider because of its relatively low cost.

Crossroads manages Sun tape libraries Crossroads Systems Inc announced the availability of the Interface Control Module for the Sun StorageTek L1400M tape libraries. The module supports resource management capabilities, such as continuous capacity, library partitioning and library aggregation.
WysDM wins shootout WysDM Software Inc. announced that IT users at the Storage Decisions show in Las Vegas selected WysDM as the winner of the Backup Reporting Shoot-out conducted by Diogenes Labs. There were two featured shoot-out competitors: Tavata TESM and WysDM. The shoot out was not sponsored, commissioned or funded by any vendor. A copy of the results may be accessed here.
MTI announces concierge service
