Brocade gets last-chance extension
Brocade Communications Systems Inc. announced that the Nasdaq Listing Qualifications Panel granted a conditional extension until Nov. 15 for the company to file its 10-Qs for the quarters that ended April 30, 2005 and July 30, 2005, and all restatements. In granting the request, the panel noted that this extension was at the outer bounds of the Panel's discretion to grant extensions and that the Panel would not entertain further extension requests should Brocade be unable to make its filings by the Nov. 15 deadline.

Seagate ships SATA 2.5 drives for PC
Seagate Technology announced the availability of its Barracuda 7200.9 family of internal hard drives. Targeted at low-cost and SATA servers, mainstream and high-performance PCs, PC gaming systems and media PCs, the new drives offer up to half a terabyte of capacity with 3 Gbps throughput , as well as native command queuing features as outlined in the newest SATA specifications.

Symantec updates Veritas cluster server

FileNet adds automation to compliance products
FileNet Corp. announced Capture Professional 5.0 and Capture Desktop 5.0, which will now allow documents to be automatically declared and classified as records in FileNet P8 once they enter an organization.

Compellent and Xyratex partner on SBOD
Compellent Technologies announced it will OEM Fibre Channel Switched Bunch of Disks enclosures for its SAN from Xyratex. The product embeds a switch within each enclosure, improving performance by increasing the number of enclosures that can be linked together.

DataCore gets in the Lifeboat
Lifeboat Distribution announced that it has signed an agreement with DataCore Software Corp., under which it will market and distribute DataCore's storage networking products. The agreement enables Lifeboat to resell all of DataCore Software's products that specialize in the control, consolidation, virtualization and management of storage.

Reldata certified interoperable with Brocade
Storage gateway maker Reldata Inc. announced that its IP Storage Gateway 9200 has been certified interoperable with Brocade-based Fibre Channel SAN infrastructures, according to the testing requirements of the Brocade Fabric Aware Program.
