Tacit hires VP of engineering Tacit Networks Inc. announced the appointment of Larry Cantwell as its new vice president of engineering. Cantwell has previously worked for IBM and General Electric Co.; most recently, he was senior director of switching engineering for CNT Corp. (formerly Inrange Technologies and currently part of McData Corp.). Cantwell takes over day-to-day engineering operations from the company's chief technology officer, Shirish Phatak, who will focus on future product development.
