Iomega bundles drives and file sharing Iomega Corporation announced that its lineup of external hard disk drives is now shipping with FolderShare software, which has secure file-sharing capabilities. Users can automatically keep folders synchronized on multiple computers, and share files only to those granted permission to view them. The FolderShare software, available in basic, personal and professional editions, is transparent to the user. Only the basic level will ship with the drives.
Overland upgrades protection for REO Overland Storage, Inc. has introduced a new version of REO Protection OS, its core software for the REO Series of disk-based backup and recovery appliances. The OS now includes Overland's virtual tape, dynamic virtual tape, and full tape library emulation, as well as embedded data protection, virtualization, management and connectivity features.
MTI Technology gets EMC status MTI Technology Corporation announced it has been granted Signature status in EMC Corporation's Velocity Partner Program, the highest level for EMC channel partners. MTI earned this status by achieving the top level of EMC Proven Professional training and accreditation requirements for its sales representatives, engineers and managers.
