ADIC picks up IBM 3592 tape drive Advanced Digital Information Corp. (ADIC), announced that it will add the IBM TotalStorage 3592 enterprise tape drive to the list of supported technologies offered in its backup and archive tape library, the Scalar 10K. The 3592 drives and media inside the 10K lets users more effectively consolidate all of their tape-based applications for enterprise backup and archiving in a single high-capacity system, the company said.
Plasmon beefs up midrange line Plasmon Plc announced a new optical library, the Gx134 and Gx174 as additions to its midrange G-Series family of libraries. The new Gx134 library has an archival storage capacity of 4 terabytes (TB) while the Gx174 stores 5.2 TB. Both can be configured with a mix of two or four 30 GB Ultra Density
