Engenio certifies Sanrad V-Switch Engenio Information Technologies Inc. announced that Sanrad's V-Switch 2000 and V-Switch 3000 products are now compatible with Engenio's storage systems. Sanrad's V-Switch technology allows users to consolidate their smaller server data storage needs into the data center without having to purchase Fibre Channel SAN components for each server. With V-Switch, companies can use iSCSI connectivity to connect all servers to the data center.
Promise rolls out eight-port SATA card ATA RAID data protection company Promise Technology Inc. announced the SATAII150 SX8 Serial ATA controller card capable of connecting eight SATA drives through a high-speed PCI-X bus. The SATAII150 SX8 offers OEMs, system integrators and VARs SATA capacity for applications, such as servers and workstations, NAS and CD/DVD duplication systems.
U.K. law firm picks FalconStor for DR FalconStor Software Inc. announced that Addleshaw Goddard, a U.K. law firm, has chosen FalconStor's IPStor Enterprise Edition software for business continuity and to manage existing storage resources. IPStor will manage 4 terabytes of data across Addleshaw Goddard's data centers in Leeds, Manchester and London. The firm plans to use the remote replication feature in IPStor to copy data to a disaster recovery site.

Meresman has joined its board of directors. Stan has 25 years experience in financial and operational executive positions. Most recently, Stan was with venture capital firm Technology Crossover Ventures serving as chief operating officer and general partner. Stan was the senior vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) of Silicon Graphics Inc. (SGI) for eight years, from 1989 to May 1997. Prior to SGI, he was CFO of Cypress Semiconductor.
