StorageTek certifies BlueArc, ONstor products
StorageTek (Storage Technology Corp.) announced certification of BlueArc Corp.'s Titan SiliconServer and ONStor's SF4400 Series SAN filer for use with StorageTek FlexLine online storage systems. With the combined use of StorageTek's FlexLine and BlueArc's Titan SiliconServer, joint customers can now add the Titan into their existing environments without infrastructure replacement or data migration.

a single, managed environment will include StorageTek's FLX 200 series disk (for frequently accessed files), and the FLX 300 series disk (for backup and archiving).
With these certifications, BlueArc and ONStor are now StorageTek TekAlliance partners.
Amerivault adds replication service
AmeriVault Corp., a provider of data protection services, announced a new replication service powered by XOsoft's WANSync and WANSyncHA replication products. The service will offer users disk-to-disk data protection and recovery whether the requirement is continuous data protection, high availability, off-site backup, business continuity, disaster recovery or regulatory compliance. AmeriVault said its replication service will deliver continuous availability and recovery for applications, including Microsoft Exchange, SQL and Oracle databases, and will eliminate the need for costly resources such as hardware, storage, space, time, maintenance and manpower.
Avamar partners with Plasmon
Data protection vendor Avamar Technologies Inc. and archiving vendor Plasmon have announced a certified, joint service that combines Avamar Axion's backup to hard-disk storage with Plasmon's Ultra Density Optical technology for archiving on optical media. The joint service will allow customers to back up their data to Axion and then replicate data directly to the Plasmon G-series library for off-site disaster recovery and long-term archiving.
Intransa signs distribution deal with NewWave
IP SAN storage provider Intransa Inc. announced that it has signed a distribution agreement with NewWave Technologies Inc. that will provide mutual customers with storage products that manage document imaging applications. NewWave Technologies is a distributor focused on document imaging, automated data storage and CD/DVD duplication solutions. Intransa and NewWave will tap new market opportunities to deliver integrated storage systems that capture, store, manage and distribute information. NewWave will distribute Intransa's IP SAN suite of products for users through its network of value-added resellers, system integrators, service bureaus and OEMs across North America.
