ADIC Q4 earnings down Tape library company Advanced Digital Information Corp. (ADIC) announced that its fourth-quarter earnings fell 16.3 percent to $4.9 million, or 7 cents a share. In the same period last year, the company earned $5.7 million, or 9 cents a share. Revenue fell 2.2 percent to $115.4 million from $118 million a year ago, falling short of analysts' predicted earnings of 2 cents a share on revenue of $121 million. ADIC revenue did grow on a sequential basis, up five percent from the preceding third quarter.
Atto HBA to be bundled with Facilis array ATTO Technology, Inc., a provider of storage connectivity and infrastructure products, announced that it has entered into an OEM agreement with Facilis for 4-Gigabit ATTO Celerity host bus adapter (HBA). Through the terms of the agreement, ATTO is supplying the Celerity FC-42XS HBA, which is being bundled with Facilis' new Terrablock Shared Storage System targeted for the emerging high-definition television (HDTV) markets. The Celerity FC-42XS is a 4-Gigabit dual-channel Fibre Channel HBA offering up to 800 MB/sec. performance. Celerity FC-42XS supports applications including digital content creation, tape streaming and backup, rich content delivery and complex databases.
