Media prices back to mid-2007 levels

Prices for 73GB and 146GB hard disk drives fell last month, by 5.44% and 4.73%, respectively. Meanwhile, 250GB SATA hard drive prices held steady at $83, with an overall increase of $4 since August. Among tape drives, the DLT-S4 registered the biggest price drop in the categories we track, dipping 11.59% to $2,615. For media, LTO-3 dropped 9.38% to $62, putting it at the same level as its August price. Overall, media prices have mostly returned to where they were six months ago.
