| Storage vendors talk a lot about small- to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) moving from DAS to SANs, but SMBs aren't in that much of a hurry to network their storage. Forty-seven percent of storage managers say they don't currently have a SAN, according to Storage magazine's spring 2007 Purchasing Intentions survey. That's up almost seven percentage points from the same time last year. For those respondents who have SANs, the number of installed SAN fabrics has remained almost the same, year over year. The survey also indicates that the number of users who plan to add SANs to their environment by the end of 2007 is decreasing.
