Say hi to the new DLT super drive

Quantum's answer to the declining market share of SDLT drives, the new DLT-S4, made its channel debut this month with an average street price of $3,883. Perhaps in reaction, LTO-3 drive pricing tumbled by more than 10% for the second month in a row, to $3,342. Media for the new DLT-S4 drive, which features 800GB of native capacity, clocks in at $94, or $0.12/GB vs. $0.15/GB for LTO-3 media.
