Asigra Backup Lifecycle Manager (BLM): First backup software package to be aware of information lifecycle management (ILM) applications. An add-on to Asigra's Televaulting backup software, BLM can detect when a file or e-mail message has been removed from primary storage and moved into an archive.
Supported ILM applications include Veritas Software's KVS, EMC's Legato EmailXtender, Advanced Digital Information Corp.'s StorNext and Sun Microsystems' SAM-FS.
EMC Dantz Retrospect: First backup package to provide integrated disk-to-disk backup of a security event management (SEM) solution. Through a partnership with Network Intelligence, Retrospect provides disk-to-disk backup of the Network Intelligence Engine, an appliance that verifies security policy compliance, generates alerts for possible security breaches, and analyzes and reports on network performance. EMC Dantz Retrospect supports policy-based backup to disk, including backup of open files.
AIC BR-SCA28: First Ultra-320 SCSI-based drive enclosure designed for Seagate Technology's Savvio 2.5" 10,000 rpm small form factor (SFF) hard disk drive. With it, you can populate two 5.25" drive bays with up to eight 2.5" SFF hard drives in a vertical configuration.
