Emulex HBAs:
First Fibre Channel host bus adapters (HBAs) to include drivers in enterprise Linux software distributions from Red Hat and SUSE, which may make it easier for organizations to build out Linux-based storage area networks (SANs).
Siliquent SLQ1010 and SLQ1004:
First 4Gb and 10 GbE iWARP 1.0-compliant processors. The processors also include RDMA, iSCSI and TCP/IP offload capabilities on a single chip. This should enable a new generation of network interface cards (NICs) with up to 70 times the performance of current Ethernet NICs, the company says. Siliquent processors also feature programmable microcode engines, ensuring support for evolving TCP/IP and upper layer protocols with a simple field upgrade.
Accordance ARAID:
First RAID storage device that can be monitored by the simple network management protocol (SNMP) across LANs or the Internet. Accordance supplies an ARAID SNMP agent and integrates it with AdventNet OpManager 5, network management software. OpManager 5 monitors for SNMP traps from the ARAID device, and alerts administrators of errors such as disk and fan malfunctions, device overheating, new disks, disk rebuild progress and fatal system errors.
