After an early August hiccup, the Storage Index made a steep climb back to nearly equal July's record high day for the year. Most of the growth came from the disk subsystem and component sectors. The Index tracks a market basket of public companies focused largely on storage that have significant market share in their sectors. It includes all sectors of the storage industry. This index is intended to represent the relative growth of storage technology and isn't intended as a guide to personal investment.
