After a bumpy June, when LTO-2 media prices fell 13.2% for the month, prices have shot right back up again, and are now up to $40 per cartridge--around the same price they were in April. IBM's LTO-2 drive, meanwhile, has reappeared on pricegrabber.com with a new product SKU. At $4,844, it's 3.8% off its average May price, and only $7 cheaper than Certance's LTO-3 drive.
