LTO-3 drive prices take a tumble

After being on the market for four months, LTO-3 drives are finally starting to see some real price movement. The average selling price for an LTO-3 drive declined by almost 5% to $5,172, and one online vendor was selling the drive for almost $700 below the average price ($4,485). SDLT-II drives, LTO-3's main competition, also saw steady downward pricing, although not as dramatic (2.3%).
