SDLT-1 media reaches new low

Last month, the price of Quantum's 600GB SDLT media, SDLT-II, plummeted by more than 10%. This month, it was SDLT-I media's turn, with a fall of 10.3%. Otherwise, media and drive prices stayed relatively stable, with no one model moving by more than 1 or 2 percentage points in either direction. All was quiet over in disk drive land as well. Parallel and Serial ATA drives continued their slow, inexorable trend downward by about 3%, while higher performance SCSI drives stayed stable or edged up slightly.
