While pricing for LTO drives barely budged this month, prices for both models of SDLT tape drives dropped significantly: -10.8% for SDLT 200 and -8.8% for SDLT 320. SDLT media pricing also dropped. Perhaps more significant was the number of online vendors even offering SDLT 220 anymore. In six months, that number has dropped by more than half. Many vendors that had SDLT 220 models in stock last month are all out. All of this points the way to the introduction of SDLT 600, rumored to be announced late this month or early next.
Also worthy of note was 120GB ATA drive pricing, coming in at a solid $100 and a low of $86.
