With the exception of Quantum's SDLT 320 drive--which exhibited a slight increase--the Real Deal prices showed slight, but significant declines overall. Like last month, there was also a significant increase in vendors offering newer tape drive models and media, which should contribute to more predictable pricing going forward. Also of note was the 120GB Maxtor DiamondMax Plus Nine ATA drive. It dropped a healthy 6.25%, but more importantly, a couple of vendors are now offering it below $100--we saw it as low as $98.
