Starting this month, we're revamping The Real Deal to better reflect storage buyers' purchasing habits today. We will now begin tracking the Seagate Cheetah 36.7GB 15K.6 Ultra320 drive, the Seagate Cheetah 73.4GB 10K Ultra160, and Maxtor's ATA-133 DiamondMax Plus Nine 120GB EIDE 7200 rpm drive with 2MB cache buffer. For tape drives, we will monitor SDLT drives from Quantum (internal SDLT 220 and 320 drives with Ultra2 SCSI LVD) as well as HP's SureStore LTO-1 Ultrium 230i. We will continue to track the same SDLT 220 and LTO 200 tape media (Quantum Super DLT I Tape Cartridge, model MR-SAMCL-01 and IBM 100GB LTO Ultrium Data Cartridge, model 08L9120), and now, media for SDLT 320 drives (Imation's Black Watch 160/320GB media, model 16260).
