iSCSI storage has been gaining ground, but the technology still doesn't fit into some users' plans. Sixty percent of respondents to Storage's latest Purchasing Intentions survey don't use or plan to use iSCSI this year. Of those, 19% say it's because they don't need additional storage, while 18% say their LAN infrastructure won't support it. Fifteen percent worry about performance, and 14% worry about reliability. Thirty-two percent had unspecified reasons for not using iSCSI. Only 2% of those surveyed say that's why they aren't deploying iSCSI.
