Survey: Season of the switch


A majority of recent survey respondents are ready for new or updated storage networks. In Storage magazine's 2008 priorities survey, 72% of those surveyed said they plan to expand or upgrade their storage network this year. The biggest group of those respondents, 31%, will make the change by adding switches to existing fabrics. Thirteen percent will add ports to currently installed switches, while 9% are in the market for replacement switches this year.
